Yesterday it was hindrances. Today I am going to show you a couple of problem spots that plague me and totally sideline my attempts to go Simple! Trust me when I say that this is just scratching the surface.
For lack of time - I am just writing this at 9:30pm - and space, I am going to show you some highlights. Maybe tomorrow I will show you some more of my problem spots because they do exist! Some of my readers have seen my pictures of the Red Room on Facebook.
Opening the garage doors brings lots of anxiety! Can you tell? This is one of the first projects I am going to tackle as part of this 31 Days. I will eat it like I would eat an elephant - bite by bite!
We have a small island in the kitchen that is often covered with papers that just don't have a home. The picture on the right is supposed to be my organizer for the kids' homework papers. You can tell that system has failed miserably.
Does this look like the oasis and peaceful retreat of a Master Bedroom? Wow! The problem with my Master Bedroom is that it is the first room I enter after walking through the laundry room from the garage. Everything in my hands finds itself dropped here at some point. Some things obviously never leave the place I dropped them!
Here are a couple of random places that stuff accumulates. One is the desk in the living room that houses a laptop. The other is my utility sink right inside the interior garage door. Right now it is holding a stool and random toys. By the end of the school year, unless I manage to achieve a better system, it will be the holding place for all the papers that come home in backpacks x3! Actually using the sink for its designed purpose is a challenge.
Come back tomorrow for more problem spots!!
