31 Days: Time Travelling Begins

Here we go as we begin our journey back in time!

Last December we spent the weeks around Christmas actually moving into the house. We're pretty experienced unpackers so we were able to have the house looking like home in a matter of days. One of my goals as we moved during the holidays was to make sure the kids were able to really experience Christmas. In the midst of unloading boxes of dishes, clothes, etc., the kids and I took one afternoon to decorate the tree. The worst part of moving at Christmas was that I hadn't bought the kids any gifts! I was one of the crazies out on Christmas Eve in the wee hours picking up gifts just so the kids would have things to open. I don't have that option this year, so I better get to busting on my gift purchases!
Here are my 2 little Batmen in their Christmas Eve PJs. It's funny to see them in these in this picture because they swallowed them then, but are already getting short and tight now!
An odd moment when the 3 littles peacefully gaze at one of their new toys.
Little Miss F2 with her new bike! This was supposed to lessen the fighting over our other big wheel, but it hasn't accomplished that. The beat up Harley Davidson Trike is still everyone's fave.
She didn't really know what to do with all the wrapped presents, but she had her micro-manager there to help her. See her special brother in the edge of this picture? I think he unwrapped more of her gifts than she did.
They had a great Christmas in the new house! I've learned recently that Bailey's favorite thing to do as we get ready for Christmas is to drive around looking at Christmas lights. However, according to him and the picture he drew of our annual light looking drives, we all must have a Starbucks red cup in our hands as we do it! He's my boy!

I'm already looking forward to another great Christmas here. Every year it gets to be more fun and meaningful as the kids start to understand the real reason why we do all we do to celebrate Christmas.
