Time is Ticking..

The countdown is on and the chaos seems to be, as well!

We had our great friend, the other Mrs. Jen, here visiting until this afternoon. I'm definitely kind of sad that she's gone. While she was here my house stayed clean and my kids were mildly cooperative! I also have a cleaner garage, the bulk of the Christmas decor put away and new shelves in my craft room. We were quite productive. She also helped keep me on track with my eating, too. She and her hubs have been eating healthy the past 6 months or so and have lost considerable amounts of weight. She looked great!

After dropping her at the airport, reality that I'm a one man show hit like a load of bricks. I'm going to bed with an oh so messy kitchen. I'm hoping I'm not just dreaming that the boys said that they like Salisbury steak because that's on the school lunch menu and that's what they'll be eating or they'll just go hungry until they get their afternoon snack. We had a major meltdown before bed time by my sweet, but oh so grumpy and tired middle child! That kid!! He makes me seriously question my sanity.

Tomorrow I'm on my own and though I was dreaming of having the day all to myself, I just remembered or was reminded that I have to give a bank statement from our Family Readiness Group to the Family Readiness Support Assistant tomorrow - not a day later! It has totally slipped my mind as I knew it would. I just hope I remember to go left instead of right when I get to the highway tomorrow after dropping F2 off at MDO.

Prioritizing the 'while he's away' leftover projects seems to be put on hold as the urgent squirms its way to the top of the list! There are still Christmas gifts to craft! Yes, I said Christmas gifts and I said craft! There are miscellaneous things laying in the garage that need to be put in the attic before the little tornadoes realize they have toys missing and begin to wonder if they're hiding in those black trash bags. Thanks to the other Mrs. Jen, they are! There is the never ending pile of laundry! And there's that kitchen that refuses to clean itself. There are various places on the walls that need a little touch up of paint. My paint the living room plans have been put on hold as the paint money will now be allocated to the 3 fillings I'll be paying for in a couple of weeks. The teeth saga continues, too!

So much for sitting around catching up on the DVR'd Bachelor episode from Monday night tomorrow while I'm all alone. It looks like there are things to clean and bits of chaos to undo! And the story of my life amongst the tornado activity continues...while time ticks away.

  1. I prayed that the other Mrs. Jen would show up with trash bags and help you out with some projects. Sounds like she was a real blessing.
