Can you believe I made it 31 straight days? Yay we did it!
To round out this journey of getting things somewhat up to date here, I figured today's post might as well be current and up to the minute!
We had our 2nd Halloween tonight and I'm glad it's all over. Now I've gotta summon some self control to keep from picking every piece of chocolate candy out of the candy stash and eating it myself.
Tonight I took Woody, Thomas and a cutie patootie who finally caved to wearing the pumpkin tutu I slaved over last week to the Vista's Annual Trunk or Treat! Other than losing F4 twice, we had a good night. He and his brother don't coordinate their comings and goings very well and he always seems to be left in the dark wondering where everyone went! I guess I need to do a better job emphasizing the Stay Together No Matter What command.
Here's what convinced F2 that the tutu wasn't evil! He'll hate me one day for this, but I couldn't resist the picture. He obviously was all about it, too.
Here's cutie patootie posing - tutu, bow and all! It was destined to be a good night! One day she'll get just how cute she is when she cooperates and wears girly accessories. I could just eat this little thing up.
Thomas and Woody are waiting their turn to play a game. Bailey said tonight's Trunk or Treat was the most fun ever. We've come a long way from avoiding these kinds of events because they were absolute misery to all parties!
F4 playing corn hole to win some candy. He's pretty good at these bean bag toss kinds of games. He's definitely much more methodical and deeper thinking than his let's get this over with as fast as possible brother.
This was an absolute riot. This guy is our Com group leader and he and several others dressed up as nerds, but they didn't stop at dressing up. They went into full character. It was absolutely hilarious. Any time I talked to him, I felt like I had to turn on my best Urkel voice to respond. I'm honestly going to have a hard time ever taking him seriously again. I wish I had taken a picture of him digging through F6's bucket of candy while he was playing the game. I bet that's why he doesn't have any good chocolate!
Let the Pre Thanksgiving diet push begin.
To those who followed me for the 31 Days, Thanks! It was fun and I'm hopeful that this was just the nudge I needed to be more consistent in chronicling our lives in this format.
