F4's teacher in his Sunday Morning class - I'm not sure what we really call them at our church - Sunday School? Life Group? Kidmo? Maybe I should find out what the official name of the children's classes are some time. Nonetheless, she told me that he and a little girl got in a little argument about when Halloween was. F4 said it had already happened because he had already gotten candy from a Trunk or Treat. This little girl said no, it hadn't happened and was happening tomorrow and her party was going to be way better than his! The teacher said she knew then it was time to intervene. 4 year olds, really?
Yes, we did have our first Halloween outing and apparently F4 is a little confused. F6 has even decided he's not wearing the same costume that he wore on Saturday. Who knew this would end up being so hard for their minds to comprehend!
They did have a good time at the brigade's Trunk or Treat. It really wasn't anything super special, but the kids got loads of candy and had smiles on their faces on the way home. I guess that was success! I did forget to take their buckets to collect candy in. Oops! We had to improvise and use the boys' hat and mask for a little while until someone gave F4 a plastic shopping bag. Needless to say, these kids and their mother have eaten insane amounts of candy in the past 2 days.
Not sure what they were all looking at, but they were all looking the same direction just not at the camera! My little Bumblebee, Woody and Cowgirl who even wore a bow in her hair until we were getting ready to leave! I was taking a breather before we headed into game land where meltdowns are especially possible.
Working on a craft at the craft table.
Just to prove that he wore his mask at some point during the day. Totally shocking!
Can't wait until our final Halloween Hoorah tomorrow night! I may be shopping for clearance costumes for next year or maybe just to have around the house on Tuesday! And if F6's sudden costume change is any indication, they need options in case Halloween happens more than one time next year, too.
