Yesterday, I got to share of my abundance with a friend as part of my Simplifying process! I have mentioned my multiple sewing machines and now I am down to 2. I hope that my friend enjoys it and learns so much more about that particular one than I ever did. I hear she has already made a little sleeping bag for one of her daughter's stuffed animals! How fun is that!! As a byproduct, I got to sit and chat with her while our kids played for a couple of hours with no major quarrels. I even introduced them to Little Debbie Cakes.
There are people out there who need or want the things that we have and don't need. Sometimes it just takes a post on Facebook or a friend reading your blog to find out who can love something more than you can at this point in your life. Often the reason I need to Simplify parts of my home or life is because I hold onto things way too tightly. I am learning to let go and finding that there is blessing in letting go!
