2011 Christmas Tour of Homes

I'm joining the party over at the Nester for the 2011 Christmas Tour of Homes! To see many more, much better Christmasy decorated homes - CLICK HERE!

While I have had great intentions this year and even got my decorations out of the attic fairly early, my plans have not panned out. I actually have supplies for a couple of wreaths and other things that I haven't even had time to mess with. I guess after January I'll make the wreaths so they'll be ready for next year.

Without further ado...

Welcome to the 2011 Christmas at the Wades'!

I didn't even make it to the tops of my cabinets in the kitchen this year!

As I was arranging these pictures, I realized that I could do an entire post that would be a blooper reel for this year's decorating dilemmas. I've got outdoor lights that only work about half the time and took me a week to figure out which GFI plug they were connected to so that I could get them back on. I have a Wise Man that has been chopped in half. I have the 2 and a half hours that it took me to figure out the lights on my prelit tree. Not to mention the stack of stuff on the fireplace hearth that was just a pile for a week or two - things that never found a home and eventually were just carried back to the garage. Considering the circumstances and that this is our first year to really spend Christmas in this house, I feel okay about what I've been able to do.

Merry Christmas....gotta get working on my cards. Hope there's some good movie on late tonight to keep me company as I retype my Christmas card labels that were lost in the fatal blow to my external hard drive!

  1. Love the bathroom. So glad I was able to contribute to the kids rooms. I still think JB's stocking has been my best find this year.
