31 Days:Birthday Catch Up #2

My technical difficulty from yesterday is still haunting me. It looks like I'm going to be paying Geek Squad a visit to see if they have some magical solution to get the files off of my external hard drive. My sister was kind enough to upload all the pictures she has of the kids to my Picasa albums today so I do have a few more pictures. Tomorrow I'm going to be putting our old desktop back into business to see if I can get the pictures off of its hard drive to fill in some of my gaps. This post isn't supposed to be about all that, but it really has been a big lesson in my need to have multiple back ups or perhaps to print hard copies of pictures every now and then since I haven't done that in probably 5 years! Really, it's been that long!

Since right now I don't have any pics for F6's birthday in March, I'm going to skip ahead to F2's birthday, however small it may have been. I didn't plan anything special for her this year. Cpt was working very crazy hours and her birthday always sneaks up on me. Honestly, I'm not sure I have any pictures of her first birthday other than some that were done at MDO at church! Bad, no celebrating mommy! This year I think we loaded everyone up to go get yogurt at our local self serve yogurt joint. I think. I'm pretty sure that's what we did. I could probably check old Facebook statuses to find out. Am I the worst mother or what?

We did make plans to go to my parents to do a little birthday party with them. Dinner at El Con, as El Conquistador is now called, and then homemade cupcakes back at their house. It was my first attempt at from scratch cupcakes and they turned out pretty darn good! I've made the recipe several times since using different frostings.

She enjoys being the center of attention and hearing everyone sing to her!

Her brothers were obviously not interested in having their pictures taken. I'm sure this was F6's idea, but F4 being the follower he is had to hold his plate up, too!
Her new baby and stroller. I knew she would love this thing! I just wish they made these play strollers a little more sturdy because we've pretty much destroyed 2 already and she's only 2!

We all had fun watching her hold her baby. Here she's holding it just fine and sweetly, but this poor thing got yanked around by its hair for a little while. We all just laughed at her and she put on a show!

Even though she's often given true 3rd child treatment, (she's only had her pictures professionally done once other than our family pictures to prove that fact)  I love having her around for comic relief because she can do some really silly things. She also gets into more trouble than her brothers ever imagined! If we can survive her at 2, I'm pretty sure we can make it through anything.

We love you, sweety girl! We can't wait until you're old enough to go to PreK, though. Just kidding, sort of!
